Privacy Policy for Gloop Odyssey

1. Information we collect

On your device (never transmitted)

• Your in-game progress: stardust totals, high score, games played, current level, missions, achievements, streaks, selected theme and character, purchased upgrades and skins, audio settings.
• This data is stored locally on your device using Android's standard preferences storage. It never leaves your device unless you initiate a backup with your own device (e.g. Google Drive backup of app data, which you control through Android system settings).
• Uninstalling the app deletes all local data.

Sent to third parties (advertising identifier only)

• Gloop Odyssey shows occasional rewarded video advertisements through Google AdMob. To deliver and frequency-cap these ads, Google receives:
  • Your Android Advertising ID (AAID) — a resettable identifier that you can reset or delete at any time via Android Settings → Privacy → Ads.
  • General device information that ad networks routinely receive (device model, OS version, language, country, IP address).
• We have configured ad requests as non-personalized wherever possible, meaning Google does not use this data to build a profile of you for targeted advertising in our app.

What we do not collect

• Your name, email, phone number, or any login credentials (the app has no account system).
• Your location, contacts, photos, microphone, or camera.
• Your gameplay analytics — we do not run any analytics SDK.
• Any payment or financial information. If and when in-app purchases are enabled, all payments are processed entirely by Google Play and we never see your card or payment details.

2. Third-party services we use

Google AdMob (advertising)

Gloop Odyssey integrates Google AdMob to show rewarded ads. Google's collection and use of data through AdMob is governed by Google's own privacy policy, available at policies.google.com/privacy. Information specific to Google's use of advertising IDs is at support.google.com/googleplay/android-developer/answer/6048248.

You can opt out of personalized advertising entirely on your device at Settings → Privacy → Ads → "Delete advertising ID."

Google Play Services (distribution & purchases)

The app is distributed through Google Play. When you install or update Gloop Odyssey, Google receives standard distribution information that governs its own services (your Google account email, device, country). Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy applies.

If and when premium themes or skins are made available as in-app purchases, transactions are processed by Google Play Billing. We receive only a confirmation that a purchase succeeded for your installation (no card number, no account email).

3. Children's privacy

Gloop Odyssey is rated for ages 13 and up. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app does not contain user-generated content, social features, accounts, or messaging.

If you believe a child under 13 has used the app and you have concerns about the advertising identifier, you can reset or delete the advertising ID via Android Settings → Privacy → Ads at any time.

4. How the information is used

The local on-device data exists for one reason: to remember your progress between play sessions so you don't lose your stardust, high score, daily mission progress, or unlocked items.

The advertising identifier is used by Google AdMob to:

• Deliver and frequency-cap ads.
• Detect fraudulent ad activity.
• Comply with Google's own contractual obligations.

We do not sell or share this data for any other purpose.

5. Data retention

• Local on-device data persists until you delete it from within the app ("Data Reset" — accessible by triple-tapping the menu tagline) or until you uninstall the app.
• Information sent to Google through AdMob is retained according to Google's own retention policies, which you can review at policies.google.com/privacy.

6. Your rights

Because we don't store any of your data on our servers, there's nothing for us to delete or export on your behalf. To control what little data does flow through Google AdMob:

• Reset or delete your Advertising ID: Android Settings → Privacy → Ads.
• Opt out of personalized ads system-wide: same settings page.
• Clear all in-app progress: open the game, triple-tap the "home is a galaxy away" tagline on the main menu, or simply uninstall the app.

If you live in a jurisdiction with stronger data-protection rights (GDPR, CCPA, etc.), the same controls above are sufficient to exercise your rights regarding Gloop Odyssey, because we do not retain any personal data ourselves.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves (for example, when in-app purchases are enabled). When that happens the "Effective Date" at the top of this page changes. Material changes will also be reflected in a release note of the updated app.
